For the 750 runners and many more cheering from the sidelines, the Village of Orland Park’s Turkey Trot has become as important as a turkey dinner during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The 25th annual event was held Thursday, Nov. 28, along Ravinia Avenue in Orland Park.

“This is the best way to start the holiday season,” master of ceremonies Dan McMillan said. “It’s a great community event and a way for families to get together.”
