The operator of a Homer Glen tobacco store allegedly defrauded the State of Illinois out of more than $400,000 in sales taxes, according to press release issued Sept. 26 by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.

Mazen M. Nassar, 38, of Orland Park, was charged with sales tax evasion of over $100,000, money laundering of over $10,000, wire fraud and filing a fraudulent sales tax return, all of which are felonies, according to the press release.
